Grew up in church singing, and playing. Started a group when we were around 8 or 9 singing with our mom. She wrote a few songs and we used to perform at church functions. Fast forward a few years and all of us started to hone our craft on our instruments and singing. We all grew in our craft under the tutelage of our grandfather and then Pastor, Clarence Stewart, who was the patriarch of the family. 

After we became proficient at singing and playing, they started their own group, and begin singing and playing professionally. The oldest brother left and joined the Navy to pursue other avenues in life. The rest of the brothers and a cousin formed the original group "Connection". After singing and playing concerts, was discovered by a veteran group called The Lighthouse Singers of Baton, Rouge, LA. Ended up being signed to their label, Lighthouse Records in 2004. After some tenure, the three brothers Antaun, Marcus and Alonzo left the group and the cousin stayed to form what is now “Connection.” 

After Mario, the oldest brother came back from the Navy in 2007, he had written some original songs. While away, he learned music engineering, mixing and recording music. He bought some studio equipment and brought it back home with him. He reconnected with his brothers who had not released any music since leaving the label.

 These four brothers began practicing, singing and playing new material, but due to the oldest brother’s job taking him overseas and away from home for extended periods of time, they did not record anything right away. Marcus and Antaun started playing professionally for different groups, primarily the Royal Notes of Houston, Texas, where they honed their professional chops on drums, and bass guitar.

After some time passed, the older brother left the industry that took him away from home, and in 2011 They recorded their debut album “He Will Provide.” After touring for a while and working on some new songs, they recorded a 5 song live album where they partnered with the Musbo Group, and 3 other groups from Texas to do a joint live project called E3:14 (Bible verse: Ephesians 3:14). They released a DVD in 2015.This DVD was their second musical project. From that project they then released a double disc CD titled "The Live Experience" that included the DVD and the audio only version of their live project in 2015.

Two of the younger brothers began in ministry and started preaching. One started Pastoring his church, TGM. The group took a bit of a hiatus while Marcus and Alonzo dived into their ministry. Then in January 2024, the group released a new single “Help Me Praise Him.” They are now working on another single “Power in His Name.”

Coming up for the holiday season they are currently in the studio working on their untitled Christmas album, which will have 3 to 5 Christmas songs. Then they will resume working in their next album, which is also currently untitled.
